H4 in. x W6 in. This impressive bloomer has rosettes of bronzed leaves that decay after blooming, to be replaced by several offsets. The plume of white blossoms may reach several feet in length, more often 20 to 30 inches. Hardy to Zone 4.

The 'Silver', or 'Encrusted' saxifrages as a group form cushions of green rosettes, delicately traced along the leaf-margins with silvery, calcareous encrustations. Full morning sun is acceptable, with partial shade thereafter, particularly in hot-summer climates. These are excellent choices for wall-crevices in cool, moist grit.
