Founded in 1963 by friends Lawrence Crocker and Boyd Kline, the Siskiyou Rare Plant Nursery brought the rare flora of the Siskiyous to the world, gaining fame throughout North America and overseas. Lawrence passed away in 2002. Boyd, now 87, continues to grow rare and unusual plants at his home.

Purchased by Jerry Cobb Colley and Baldassare Mineo in 1978, the nursery took on a new image through its expanded catalog, which appeared with color photos by the mid-eighties. Increasing its celebrity status, each new catalog was eagerly anticipated by a long list of sophisticated gardeners, many of whom remain loyal customers to this day. This period in the nursery's history saw the introduction of our signature plant, Daphne 'Lawrence Crocker', as well as several perennial introductions, including Gaura lindheimeri 'Siskiyou Pink'.

In August 2005 Dale Sullivan signed the final documents making SRPN his own, giving him the ultimate opportunity to realize a life-long dream. We have a great challenge ahead, as we continue to move and reshape the nursery in its new surroundings.
