H12-15 in. x W12 in. Many-flowered umbels of magenta-pink flowers rise above moisture-loving clumps of green foliage on this species, native to the west coast from Alaska to California. For a sunny situation at stream-side or in the bog garden, it blooms from May into the summer months. Hardy to Zone 4.

These native wildflowers enjoy moist, rich loam in the shaded woodland garden or rockery.  Some species enter dormancy in summer and must be kept dry and cool; green growth returns with autumn rains.
