Slender, irregular growth appears in congested tiers on this very old Japanese cultivar. Foliage color is yellow to ochre-green. Hardy to Zone 5.

Cultivars of this Japanese cypress seem endless in number, but most are quite distinct in foliage color and ultimate form.  Short, fan-shaped growth gives the plants a dense habit resembling clouds or boulders.  Dimensions given are estimates after approximately ten years' growth.
