H36 in. x W24 in. Slender, irregular growth appears in congested tiers on this very old Japanese cultivar. Foliage color is yellow to ochre-green. Hardy to Zone 5.

This genus of lacy-leaved conifers has five species, inhabiting moist woods and shores of Japan, Taiwan, the Pacific Northwest, and southeastern U.S. Protect these plants from hot, dry conditions, which will surely desiccate the foliage in a matter of hours. Many are eminently suited to bonsai and penjing. Dimensions given are approximate after ten years of growth.
