Detailed Description
10-12 ft. x 6 ft. This intermediate conifer has persistent juvenile growth in soft, blue-green sprays that occasionally mature into green, adult foliage. An interesting, shaggy shrub, it should be selectively pruned for appearance. Hardy to Zone 5.
Cultivars of this Japanese cypress seem endless in number, but most are quite distinct in foliage color and ultimate form. Short, fan-shaped growth gives the plants a dense habit resembling clouds or boulders. Dimensions given are estimates after approximately ten years' growth.
