15 ft. x 3 ft.  Named for its purplish-brown, plum-like fruits, this boldly upright form of the Japanese plum-yew has flat, glossy green needles in whorls on vertical branches.  A quickly growing conifer for sun or partial shade in average loam, consistently moist in summer.  An excellent choice for a tall, informal hedge.  Hardy to Zone 6.
