H36 in. x W24 in.  Very long, blue-green, grass-like leaves spiral around the stems in impressive clumps, blooming midsummer with three-foot spires densely set with star-like, lemon-yellow flowers with a light fragrance.  Native to the eastern Mediterranean, the plant needs full sun and excellent drainage in soil that is not especially rich.  Hardy to Zone 6.
