Famous for alpines and more since 1963.
Thank you for visiting the Siskiyou Rare Plant Nursery website! We are a small specialty nursery nestled between the Siskiyou Mountains and the southern Oregon Cascades. We specialize in rare and unusual alpine plants, perennials and more for rock-gardens, alpine troughs and other miniature garden applications such as G-Scale railway gardens and fairy gardens.
Please use the menu at left to browse our catalog of plants and rock garden books. Further information can be found through the tabs above.

Our Spring shipping season has ended.
Our full inventory will be uploaded on this site by mid-July, coinciding with our printed mailer. Please check back with us for our selections of Pacifica Iris divisions, Cyclamen tubers and other dormant, bare-root stock in addition to many new rock-garden plants!
We wish you a happy and safe summer, and look forward to serving you this fall!
Autumn shipping begins September 15th!

Compare our prices!
We strive to remain competetive, while offering high quality, unusual plants that are well-grown and fully rooted, ready for planting in your garden.

Dormant bulbs, tubers, and rhizomes are now available!
See our selection of dormant bulbs and rhizomes in the category at left. Dormant stock is not subject to a per-plant shipping charge - shipping for these items is covered in the base charge for your region. Potted plants will incur extra shipping charges.

Please request our printed catalog!
Due to the costly, labor-intensive nature of operating an online shopping cart, this is the last season that we will offer plants for sale directly via the internet. This decision will help us to focus on growing and selling high-quality plants at a lower cost to you. In the future, our catalog will be posted online for download, and you may print an order form and mail it with payment, or fax it to us. This also eliminates any concerns about online credit-card theft, as all orders are processed in-house, not through an online server.
We apologize in advance for the extra steps involved in ordering, but, frankly, most of our customers still use the "archaic" method of the United States Postal Service. (Let us hope that Congress finds the means to preserve this valuable American asset as the government farms out more and more services to private, cronyistic interests!)

About our plants:
Our plants are grown from seed or cuttings, NOT collected from the wild.
Alpine plants are grown and shipped in 2x2x3-inch square plastic pots; perennials are grown in 3-1/2" or 4" square (half-quart) pots, and are shipped unpotted, with the rootball carefully wrapped. Larger perennials and most woody plants are grown in 4" square half-quart or one-quart pots and are also shipped unpotted to reduce shipping weight (We may ship in the pot, if we feel the plant's safety in shipping would be compromised). Please see our Shipping Page for current rates.

SRPN is not staffed for regular business hours, and we are not open for business to the public except during Open Garden Days and other scheduled events. Prepaid orders may be scheduled for pickup at the nursery through special arrangement. Please click the tabs above for further information.
Photos of our plants are uploaded as we are able to gather and manipulate them for the website. Your patience as we improve our web presence is greatly appreciated.
   Thank you for your business!
